Watson Imaging and the American College of Radiology
Watson Imaging is proud to say it holds accreditation from the American College of Radiology. Accreditation affords Watson Imaging several advantages, including keeping member radiology centers up to date on advances in the radiology industry. Watson Imaging radiologists are members of the ACR, and they also benefit from membership.
The ACR provides its members with several benefits, including publications and other resources to keep its members current on technical advances and other news in the radiology field. Members can earn continued medical education credits through ACR so they can maintain their licenses.
ACR was founded in 1923 to act as a unified voice for members, to bring information to members and to represent its members. Its purpose, according to the ACR itself, is “to serve patients and society by empowering members to advance the practice, science and professions of radiological care.” Members include diagnostic radiologists, interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, nuclear medicine physicians, members in training and medical students.
